You can start by scheduling an initial consultation through my website or by contacting me directly. Consultations are done over the phone and last about 15 minutes. During this call we’ll discuss what you are seeking from therapy, I can answer any questions, and we can decide if we’re a good fit to work together.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're feeling overwhelmed or seeking personal growth, therapy could be a valuable tool. In our initial consultation, we can explore your needs and see if we’re a good fit.
What should I expect in my first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any concerns you might have. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and learn more about the therapeutic process.
How long does each session last?
Each session typically lasts 50 minutes. This is standard for individual therapy.
How often should I attend therapy sessions?
The frequency of sessions depends on your individual situation and goals. Most clients start with weekly sessions and then adjust based on progress. We’ll work together to find a schedule that works best for you.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. This allows me to offer your time slot to another client. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be responsible for paying the full session fee.
Do you offer online or teletherapy sessions?
I offer both in person and online therapy sessions. Online sessions are done through a secure and HIPPA complete platform.
How confidential are our sessions?
Your privacy is very important to me. All sessions are completely confidential, and I adhere to strict ethical guidelines to protect your personal information. There are a few legal exceptions, which I’ll explain in our first session.
How do I pay for sessions?
I accept payment via credit/debit cards and HSA / FSA. Card information is kept on file and charged at the end of each session.
Do you accept insurance?
I am currently an out-of-network provider for most insurance plans. I am only in network with Aetna through Headway. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
How long will I need to be in therapy?
The duration of therapy varies from person to person. Some people benefit from short-term therapy focused on specific issues, while others find ongoing therapy helpful for deeper exploration and long-term support. We’ll regularly review your progress and goals to ensure you’re getting the most out of our work together.
